Dacula, GA

Dacula is located in the eastern part of Gwinnett county. It was established in the late 1800’s and was originally named “Hoke”. After the post office protested the name, it was changed to Dacula, which is a combination of Decatur and Atlanta. Dacula’s commercial businesses have exploded.

Dacula is home to some of the oldest buildings in greater Atlanta, such as the Elisha Winn House, which was originally the courthouse for Gwinnett County. The city is also home to recreational area Dacula Park, Little Mulberry Park that has a lake for fishing and hiking paths, and Tribble Mill Park which is a green space with fishing and hiking trails.
